SIX SIGMA FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND IT

QT&T (in association with Systonomy ,UK) held a “ONE DAY EXECUTIVE FOUNDATION WORKSHOP on SIX SIGMA FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND IT “ on 31 Jan 2008 and       02 February 2008 at Singapore Management University, School of Economics & Social Sciences, Singapore.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES included

• Understand the differences between ICT and Software Lean Six Sigma and Manufacturing/Transactional Lean Six Sigma 
• Understand the methodology, its advantages and its relevance to technology-oriented business in particular
• Undertand the key concepts of DMAIC, DFSS and Value based Software Engineering
• Understand how Lean Six Sigma complements maturity-based models such as CMMI, ITIL, SPICE
• Understand the project selection process, roles and responsibilities of Management as well as the different professional profiles and their effective allocation; and the mechanisms for progress tracking and measurement
• Introduce the economic and financial models relevant to Lean Six Sigma
• Illustrate the challenges and considerations of introducing Six Sigma and DFSS into the software and IT organization

Why SIX SIGMA for IT Professionals 

As you probably know many organisations applied successfully Six Sigma for manufacturing and transactional services, but are struggling or behind when it comes to IT and Software development. Indeed IT and Software processes and products are more abstract and require different approaches to Six Sigma and DFSS from the methodological and the statistical aspects.

SPEAKER Profile :
Dr.Radouane ,Founder and CTO of SYSTONOMY,UK .

Dr.Radouane is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt for IT and Software engineering. He has an M.S. in Operations Research from ENSAE Paris, an MBA in Information Systems and Decision from ESSEC Paris and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the joint programme ESSEC and Université d’AIX-Marseille. He is a visiting lecturer in software quality engineering at Kingston University, Telecom-Paris, ESSEC Paris, HEC Paris, University of La Sorbonne Paris and works as an Expert and Evaluator with the European Commission on the Software Process Improvement Experiment. Radouane is currently working with the academia to create a Masters degree in Software Engineering and Six Sigma for IT and Software.
