QT&T (in association with Systonomy ,UK) held a “ONE DAY EXECUTIVE FOUNDATION WORKSHOP on SIX SIGMA FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND IT “ on 31 Jan 2008 and 02 February 2008 at Singapore Management University, School of Economics & Social Sciences, Singapore.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES included
- Understand the differences between ICT and Software Lean Six Sigma and Manufacturing/Transactional Lean Six Sigma
- Understand the methodology, its advantages and its relevance to technology-oriented business in particular
- Undertand the key concepts of DMAIC, DFSS and Value based Software Engineering
- Understand how Lean Six Sigma complements maturity-based models such as CMMI, ITIL, SPICE
- Understand the project selection process, roles and responsibilities of Management as well as the different professional profiles and their effective allocation; and the mechanisms for progress tracking and measurement
- Introduce the economic and financial models relevant to Lean Six Sigma
- Illustrate the challenges and considerations of introducing Six Sigma and DFSS into the software and IT organization
